Built in a neo-gothic style, the Basilica is at the origin of the abbot Paul BUGUET. Work began in 1894 to be completed in 1911.

The nave is lit by a splendid whole of stained glasses due to the Barrillet glass-maker master, father & son. In the transept, the altars are in mosaic of “decorative art” style from the 20’s.

The Notre-Dame de Montligeon Basilica is a list building.
